Contribuiți la feedbackWe ordered at the bar , as there is not table order, crispy chciken strips, nothing amazing, however at £8 I did not have huge amounts expectation, Alpine Schnitzel was decent size, the only thing , salad was without any dressing, again at £13 maybe we were expected to bring our own dressing, chicken schnitzel burger was so small that to me looked kid portion, when mentioned the young man , he said sorry, hope you enjoy it and left. Disappointing especially when everything is so expensive as a proper restaurant but only food delivered to the table. I guess company owners must make sure cost saving is meet, fair enough but as customer felt ripped off properly.
I used to go the lodge before and after my ski sessions, which would be 1-3 times a week as I am local to the slope. The food used to be great, cooked fresh, there was a good varied menu which also catered to different diets. They would do daily specials, the food would be vibrant and flavourful. This was a number of years ago, it has gotten worse since. I met my friend for lunch prior to a 2 hour lift pass and decided to try the food here again to see if it had improved. I ordered a hotdog, see picture. Technically it arrived as it was described (written) on the menu, it was vile! My friend ordered chicken strips, which look like they had been fried a few times as they were mostly oil and flavourless. The staff behind the bar overall are not friendly or personable, with the exception of a couple of them who I know personally. They openly discuss and speak badly of other staff members in the bar area and often stand together in a group avoiding work. The food overall has taken a big nose dive in my opinion, it is either microwaved or deep fried from frozen. There are no fresh food options and no options for restricted or alternative diets. The staff are quite rude when it comes to bringing in food, I appreciate that they don't want food brought in and eaten, however if you can't provide food suitable, what are people who suffer with conditions such as crohns and colitis supposed to do. As an example I have a friend that suffers with that disease and had brought in a home made sandwich, there was no packaging from other companies, just clingfilm and she was asked to leave if she wanted to eat it, which is what we did. The drinks are priced okay and they have a good selection available, just don't expect there to be any ice. I would suggest eat elsewhere before coming to ski or snowboard
Lovely setup and a great place to hang out while you watch the kids have their lessons. Good apres ski food. Carb heavy, which is what you want. Could do with a few lighter or smaller options perhaps but all in all a well presented cafe with decent food. Service is quick and friendly.
Lovely food. Been here a few times.. it's been always a good experience. Very nice place. Professional, friendly and polite staff. Free wifi. Easy to order using the QR code on the table or directly at the till. Doesn't take long from order to serving. They have many allergen options including Gluten free buns for the burgers. Not overpriced. Great menu. Fresh hot food. This place is a must try. The ambience is simply superb.. you will feel like you're at a restaurant in the Alps. Even if you're not here for snow activities, this restaurant is a great place for a good vibe.
I thought I’d treat myself to the Lodge breakfast whilst watching my son skiing. When ordering, I was asked for my table number and we’ll bring it over the young girl said. Breakfast arrived several minutes later and was well presented. I looked at the baked beans in a very small pot, I emptied them out on the plate , without counting each individual bean, I would’ve said there were 30 max. The rest of the breakfast went from being just luke warm, to a stone cold very very small tinned plum tomato.
