Contribuiți la feedbackI was traveling through Bavaria for work...staying in Maisach for 19 days. I found Anna's on Yelp and made arrangements to visit. Parking was super easy...and Sophi's son spoke enough English to help me navigate the menu (which you can also translate in advance, if needed, using google translate. Sophi and her son were extremely hospitable...offering me an appertif (on the house and some of the best bread I have ever eaten. Octopus is hard to find, and good octopus is even harder to find in the US...well, the dish I ordered was so large, it could have fed two people...and yet, so delicious, I ate the entire plate. Even though I was dining alone, it felt like I was in someone's home...I felt so comfortable. Everyone was so friendly. I highly recommend Anna's Taverne to all and any who find themselves traveling through the Munich area.
This little gem is tucked away in a neighborhood without a lot of parking, but worth parking a block away and walking. Needing a quick lunch, we had the pumpkin soup (with 2 small shrimp), garlic toast, and we split an order of dolmas. The shrimp could have been more tender, but overall it was an excellent meal. Everything was delicious and satisfying, the service was excellent, and I wish we lived nearby!
OMG... best Greek food ever and the most friendly service. Even though no one spoke English they had English menus and could piece together answers to any questions we had with a big smile.... wish we could find food like this in Houston. Very reasonably priced and so very tasty. Svoulaki was tender and juicy, gyros came with salad, fries, amazing tziki sauce, and the dessert was to die for.
The food was AMAZING! I had the souvlaki and gyro plate and it was enough for 2 people!
