12-34 Cafe - CYPRESS COUNTY

This restaurant may not offer a fancy culinary experience, but it serves up some of the tastiest dishes! We absolutely loved the delicious pizza and the loaded nachos were the best we've ever had. The service was excellent and we would highly recommend their homestyle food to everyone.

Great friendly people; large service and eating. the salve eats in the room with a warm fire to heat it on a beautiful winter day in elkwater.

The pizza was burned up and not boiled in the middle. it was the worst pizza I ever had. the owner was very arrogant. another customer asked for red wine and the owner gave him white wine. when the customer told him that he wanted to know that the owner took over the cash register and told the customer that it was white wine. the owner was the person who chose the wrong choice of the weine. we will never return to this saturation. the owner treated the customer terrible! we were disgusting.

Elkwater is a small becauseer and during the last week of summer was not much open. we needed lunch and coffee on a cool day as stopped around 12-34 as it was the only restaurant opened. no complain about eating, coffee or service....We had a turkey bee wrap and suppe of the day and both were very good. the coffee was fantastic. While the employees were very nice and attentive, there were few COVID-19 restrictions and protection measures for them. there were individually packaged condiments, but there was no Plexiglas barrier at the order stand, no employee wore a mask, and table service meant that three different servers were within two feet of our face. it was very unpleasant. we did not return during the rest of our stay in cypress hills and would not return until covid is no longer in contact. a gentleman we have accepted was a owner, said by covid, don't even go, so I think that was writing on the wall. We read that elkwater and the province park get 250k visitor per year, so that this is possibly a lot exposition to the virus. we would come back to 12-34 at any time, but not now.

We had dinner at the cafe and pub. The pizza was pretty good. The service excellent and the staff really friendly and welcoming. The next day I stopped in to grab a coffee to go and the lady behind the counter remembered me from the...night before. She was friendly and informative and a pleasure to chat with.
