Davenport's Family - Cumberland

The service at this restaurant was excellent. Candace was our waitress and she was very engaging. Her delightful sense of humor added to our dining experience. We all enjoyed the food except for my husband, who did not like the chicken pot pie.

I have been here many times but this time I didn't have the best experience. I love the seafood chowder but when I got my bowl, it was a little over half filled when usually the bowl is filled. I didn't say anything. The rolls we got were unfortunately very hard and we asked for new ones but didn't get them until then end of our visit. I ordered a cocktail and it came after our dinner arrived. I ordered the fried whole belly clams (which I usually love) but they were chewy and soggy. I didn't eat much of it and just ate the fries. I will go back here because I love the seafood chowder but was disappointed. Everyone is always so nice when we go and welcoming!

Wide selection of menu items, yet everything comes out cooked just right. Prices are very reasonable, service staff goes out of their way to be accommodating. Owner Greg stopped by our table on a recent Thursday evening, just to assure we were content. Our party of 3 was more than satisfied. Past dinners there have been equally satisfying. An easy 5 stars go to this unpretentious family restaurant!

For a seafood restaurant they are bad . The baked stuffed shrimp were so overcooked they were hard to cut with a knife, the fried clams were crunchy , we will not be returning. Handicapped parking good luck.
