Ramen Bangaichi - Culver City

I love everything about this place. I'm a ramen guy. I live in Vancouver, so I'm exposed to the best ramen in North America. Better than NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, LA. LA actually has alot of mediocre ramen. The Spicy Bangaichi Miso ramen is a flavour bomb. It's not too spicy and broth, noodles, toppings down to the knob of butter fantastic. The gyōza are great, too, and so is the enormous serving of small curry rice. The star is the bar, though. Arnie is a master. He pulls you in, is a great personality and he treats you like family. He embodies what the consummate host is as a master of the bar... Yes there is a full service bar here. That k you Arnie, you and the Ramen will keep me coming back everytime I'm in town.

Very cute and good quality spot for ramen! I can only speak for the veggie/vegan one, but I thought it was really good. It's a bit nicer ambiance then other ramen places I've been, and I love the giant booths along the wall. You can add toppings like egg, onion, corn, etc in the bowl. HUGE PORTION and very filling, even though it's all vegan. We asked for forks because I'm terrible with chopsticks but they said they ran out? There were only 3 other people in the restaurant on a Tuesday, how could you run out of forks? Took her over 10 min to get a fork, and she apologized. Kind of weird, but they were nice about it!
