California Fish Grill - Culver City

I order clam chowder and added shrimp for 2.50. Once I received my order it literally had 1 shrimp cut in half. I paid 2.50 for 1 shrimp??? And they charged me 1.50 for avocado and only received 4 slices. C'mon now. Make ppl aware that it is not worth spending extra for nothing.Food: 1/5

Came in at 7pm. I know the restaurant chain itself is good but this location was not it today. Got the shrimp bowl after waiting 20 minutes only for it to come out cold as sea where the shrimp came from. Very disappointed I was excited for it. My girlfriend got fish tacos. Those were good everything on her plate was hot even the zucchini was hotter than my plate.

I have been eating at this location since it opened. More recently I have ordered delivery via Grubhub. In the past two years or so the portions have gotten smaller and smaller and the prices have gone up. Despite having good food this restaurant continues to offer less and less value.Food: 3/5

Great spot for healthy options and great quality fish that are grilled to perfection. Simply pick your fish, sauce, and 2 sides. Portions are big enough to get you full. I got the grilled ahi tuna with the chimichurri sauce, crispy fries, and kaleslaw (sorry, not in pic).Food: 5/5

The food tasted great, but the service was very slow. It took us about 35 minutes for us to get our food for two people. It was 8PM on Friday night so it was quite busy, but I was surprised how long it actually took. Tonight we did take out as well. They have a ton of great options on the menu and I really wanted to try the Branzino today. However, it was sold out. You place your order at the counter and then they call your name or text you when your order is ready. I opted to use the electronic kiosk to order, even though everyone else in line, for some reason, stood there longer to wait to order from an employee. I suggest using the kiosk because it’s literally the same screen that the employee uses to place your order. There is a ton of parking available because it is attached to a shopping center where Trader Joe’s and a bunch of other businesses are located.I chose the Shrimp Ceviche to start and it was actually really great. It came with a lot of shrimp and the flavors were great. For my entrée I chose the Catfish and I really enjoyed it. I wish it was cooked a little bit more so it was a bit crispier, but still the seasoning was great and I ate all of it. I also got a few à la carte tacos, one Battered Fish, and one Spicy Shrimp. They were pretty small tacos, so I don’t think I would order them again.Overall a good place to grab some fish or other types of seafood in a to-go type of setting. It took a while to get the food, but we were happy we chose CFG once we got a chance to try the food.
