Tu Amigo - Culpeper

Ordered beef tacos, pupusas and chicharon.Beef on tacos were like beef jerkey, the pupusas were good but the most disappointing part was the chicharon, not crispy at all very soggy and jerky like. From all the reviews i had high expectations but was very disappointing!

They advertise peruvian chicken, however the chicken taste nothing like it. Please don’t advertise something that isn’t even close to it.

The pupusas have a good flavor, however mine were a little burned. The flavor of the pork and cheese is very good though ??

Tu Amigo used to be one of my favorite spots in Culpeper. It seems as of lately the food quality has declined. My last two visits haven’t been very good. Last time I was served old pupusas that had spoiled beans. A pupusa isn’t supposed to be sour.Today I bought a whole chicken that was not fresh. It tasted like it was made yesterday, and microwaved today. A freshly cooked chicken will not be that dry, and have a weird smell to it.It seems like freshness is being traded for convenience.Please reevaluate what’s going on in your kitchen. Quality is everything in the food industry.

New place in town, food was fairly priced, hot and fresh. The inside of the restaurant was cute, decorated with pink flamingos and there was an outside little seating area. We ordered beef kabobs, tamales de pollo, pupusas, mariscada and sopa de res.
