T-rex Burgers - Cuenca El Arenal

The classic burger is a 1/2 pound. 1st mojito is $1 with a burger. Never knew mojito and great burgers went together so well. Small place maybe 4 tables, owner is very friendly and speaks fluent English. Highly recommended.

The hamburger is very good, possibly the best in Cuenca. The last time I was there, Oct. 12 I made the mistake of not ordering it well done. Previously the well done came with the meat having a good dark brown sear and the meat a very good texture. The mistake I made in not ordering it well done, left the interior a bit pink and the texture more like mashed potatoes. I like the spices they add to the hamburger before cooking. Next time I will order a double portion of cheese just to add to the cheese flavor. I like mine without veggies and with BBQ sauce. I need more of that next time also.

I am still looking for a recipe for his purple cabbage slaw over potato chip!! The best!!
