Vine Plate Wine Provisions

Be wary if you're seated in the back dining area, which oddly doubles as the kitchen and storage space. I can't believe someone thought it was a good idea to place tables there. The back features an open kitchen with no noise or smoke control, and various items are stored haphazardly in plain sight, making the experience quite unpleasant. Throughout our dinner, there were loud clattering dishes from the kitchen that startled me multiple times, and smoke filled the room to the extent that other diners began to comment on it. The lack of proper kitchen ventilation made it seem unsafe for food preparation. It was also uncomfortably hot, prompting us to finish our meal early. We were also bothered by an excessive number of flies around us. The meat dishes we ordered were dry, and my avocado was hard. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and our waitress was very kind. The front of the restaurant is beautiful and significantly quieter. However, we unfortunately will not be returning due to this highly unpleasant experience, which I haven’t encountered in years.

My daughter has visited Vine Plate several times, so when I asked her where she wanted to go for her birthday dinner, she chose that restaurant, and I'm so glad she did! The quality of the food was outstanding, the presentation was beautiful, and the service provided by Cari Anne was exceptional! It's truly a hidden gem! I haven't been to a restaurant worthy of a review in such a long time! I will definitely be back (even if it means coming from Des Plaines)!

This place is a hidden gem with incredible food! Hats off to the entire staff for their hard work. The presentation of the dishes was almost too beautiful to eat. We tried the shrimp tacos, braised short rib panini, and Cacio e Pepe, and everything was outstanding!

6/15/23 at 7:30pI had the Patatas Bravas and it was amazing! The only thing I didn't like was the portion size. I wish there was more. The service was great as well. Everyone working there was kind and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!

Wonderfully creative drinks and food. The vegan scallops are outstanding!
