Tommy's Red Hots - Crystal Lake

I ordered four Philly sandwiches, requesting no peppers or onions on two of them—just cheese and mushrooms. They managed to leave out the peppers, but not the onions. Additionally, I noticed that what used to be ribeye steak is now shredded beef. What’s going on, Tommy’s? I don’t think I'm asking for too much considering I spent over sixty bucks, am I?

This place is absolutely terrible. Located at the intersections of RT 31, RT 14, and RT 176, I suspect they are all owned by the same people. The fries are consistently cold, and the sandwiches often arrive without the items that are required or those that were ordered. The staff clearly doesn't care at all.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was impressed! They offer a wide variety of food options on their menu. The staff and the owner are very friendly. They also have daily specials. The place gets quite busy, but I experienced minimal wait time. I will definitely return! My gyro sandwich was huge, loaded with sauce and onions! A must-try if you're in the area!

Tommy's makes food that tastes okay and is made fresh however for first timers who look at the high rating and don't deeply research prices, there can be significant sticker shock. The prices are not listed on the menu at the shop so it was quite asurprise when lunch for my family of 5 was over $60. At Culver's it would have been below $40. So if you want a fun dinerishdining experience, go here but be willing to overpay for the food. $15 for a 1/3 lbs hamburger meal seems over market.
