Richard Walker's Pancake House

The experience was quite good! We had about a 30-minute wait, but what popular breakfast spot doesn’t have a line on a Sunday morning? The omelettes were tasty and larger than I expected. They also offer gluten-free pancake options, though I'm not sure about the toast!

Really good turkey blt sandwich. I had the option of a cup of fresh fruit or fries with my meal. This is great since I was looking for something lite. The fruit cleanses the palate alongside the great tasting ice water. Haven't been there in a longtime. Really love the atmosphere. It was really unique! Glad to have gone there .

All the menu items were extremely overpriced. My wife ordered the crepes and got just one crepe presented in a separate dish for $10. I ordered the 49ers, but they were simply a stack of crepes laid flat on a plate. That's not how 49ers should be served, to be honest. The service was decent; I have no major complaints there. Overall, I don't think it's worth the money, as there are many better breakfast options available in the Crystal Lake area.

Great food and great service. Definitely try the German Pancake or Dutch Baby.
