Poppy's - Crystal City

This is a lovely little restaurant! Don't let the fact that it's connected to the bowling alley put you off. It actually has a calm, somewhat upscale atmosphere. I would have given it 5 stars if they had Campari available for my favorite cocktail.

Poppy's is the top spot for Italian cuisine in the Twin Cities area, but the real highlight is their Sunday chicken dinner special. This dish features half a fried chicken served with two sides and is exclusively available on Sundays. The service at Poppy's is consistently excellent, allowing us to enjoy our meal and be in and out in about 45 minutes to an hour when seating is readily available. My personal favorite from the menu is the spaghetti and meatballs, which I believe is the true test of any Italian restaurant. I highly recommend paying Poppy's a visit!

Good food and the visit worth. Funny, I've eaten here 3-4 times and every time, one day or two later, I'm coming with an evil cold. I don't know if the help has to wear masks or wash their hands more. I like eating here.

The food, the friendly staff, and the ambiance at this restaurant were all fantastic. We highly recommend it!

Paul Albano, the owner, has a nice menu. The food is good and the Italian chicken dinners are very good. You have the best rib a few times a year that everyone loves. They have several salads that are very good. My only stop is that it's something Pricy. If you come to a Prime Rib night, you will be prepared for a wait. We had a 30-minute wait last night.
