Pickies - CRUZ DE HUANACAXTLE

This place is my go to place to satisfy my sweet tooth. They have many varieties of pies in small single serving sizes and, if you want t large pie they will make it to order for you. And if they don't have the pie you want when you show up, they will make it for you for pick up later. I love their key lime pie.

This has been a great find in La Cruz. A wonderful place for a sweet treat. Everything is fresh, delicious and served with a smile. Definitely worth a stop when you are here.

You'll have to pay attention, but if you're coming into La Cruz from the Highway 200, right before the Oxxo on the right, you can hang right and and be on the lateral and you will see this nice little pastry and bakery. Cakes and cupcakes, pies and miscellaneous sweets are featured. Chocolate cake (and cupcakes) were delicious and the Key Lime Pie was an eye opener. The owner (whose name I have forgotten) is generally present and she is extremely helpful and accommodating (allowing tastes as available). Definitely check it out!

This little hole-in-the-wall bakery is undoubtedly the finest little treat bakery in the area. The products are fresh made and delicious. She was a bit low on stock last night because she had a huge wedding cake completely filling one refrigerator. Give her a try - just before OXXO on the 200 highway running through LaCruz. You have to look - it just doesn't jump out at you but is surely worth the effort if you have a sweet tooth.
