Pizza Express - Croydon

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant tonight. The food was delicious and the service from Rhia was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back.

Been going there for years a reliable good quality staple with friendly staff. I went between lockdowns and it was all a bit sad. HOWEVER having got some vouchers running out thought ‘why not’. My wife and I took my mum (90) with some trepidation, let’s just say she is easily unimpressed by restaurants. The staff could not have been nicer, the food is back to pre lockdown standards and availability and my mum turns out to be a big fan of Pizza Express. Who would have known? See you next Saturday...and thank you.

We ate here in the first week of the Eat in to help out scheme. Pizzas great, as was my salad (despite no capers). But the prawn starter less so certainly not up to the pic and the tiramisu was dried out and ghastly, hence my average score. We got a great bargain with a unidays student discount and then the scheme discount but it does show how expensive it is in the first place. £100 for 4, sharing starters, reduced to £45. Service was very slow although the girls were lovely. Felt like the kitchen was overwhelmed, tbh.

Always a pleasure to eat here, the staff seem to enjoy their job, can be a little understaffed at times but everyone works hard. Not sure if things are starting to change though given the group’s troubles....pizza for the first time in 10 years seemed different.

A friend and I went to this restaurant for dinner. It was her first time there. The waiters were great and friendly, and our main courses were delicious. However, the dough balls were too small and slightly overcooked. My ginger cake dessert had an overwhelming amount of ginger, and the free cappuccino that came with it was lukewarm. My friend's dessert had barely any coffee flavor. Because of these issues, we had to give it a one-star rating. It's a shame that this is the first time we've had to make a complaint.
