Grill 23 - Crossing

Great restaurant but steak was cold sent it back undercooked. No juice to the steak and raw inside. Ordered the 32 ounce. Disappointed. Plates not hot like other steak houses and steaks too dry. Other than that great place !

Best dining experience I had during a recent trip to Boston. We enjoyed a quiet table offset from the main dining area with a table for six. Service was exceptional! The food was incredible! Best steak I have had in a restaurant in 4 years. Impressive wine offerings! Everyone attending our table was excellent, obviously well trained and dedicated to exceptional service. Grill 23 will be the first reservation I make when returning to Boston.

Unbelievable how good everything was! We've been to many high end steakhouses for birthdays, anniversaries etc but this one may be the best one we've been to. From the time we walked in the door until we were leaving the host again wished us a happy anniversary (remembering us 2hrs later) everything was perfect. Food was excellent, service was somehow even better, I can't recommend this place enough.

Always bring our out of town friends here to experience the 100 day aged Ribeye. The service was great, Henry took good care of us. The food was the best we ever had it the steak, sautéed mushrooms, especially the wagyu burgers, french onion soup. I knocked a star off for the mac and cheese which didn't have much flavor. I did forget to mention this to Henry but the fried calamari had more peppers and onions than calamari. The creme brûlée was divine. Routestock Pinot Noir was recommended to us to have with our meal, good selection we ordered a second bottle.

Forget about Manhattan or Chicago, the great American Steakhouse is in Boston, Massachusetts, and it's called Grill 23 Bar. Consistently all cuts of excellent prime steaks served with superb side dishes, appetizers, and desserts. And when meat is not your choice for the evening, they have wonderful fish, seafood, and a wide variety of different entrees to choose from. My family and I have eaten here multiple times on our visits to Boston, and every time has been superb. So don't give it a second thought. Give them a try. You won't go wrong!
