My elderly in-laws were traveling home on the A82 when they hit a pothole during last night's storm, which caused a flat tire. After trying unsuccessfully to fix it in the pouring rain and fierce winds, they were soaked and unable to get any roadside assistance because of the high volume of calls in the area. They set out to find a place to spend the night, accompanied by their 15-year-old granddaughter. When they inquired about a room, they were quoted over £300! It felt like complete robbery—especially given that it was a stormy night and they had very limited options at 8:30 PM. Fortunately, they found the Muthu Hotel down the road, which welcomed them and made them comfortable. I would recommend avoiding the other place at all costs!

The Large Wee Pub offers a separate vegan menu upon request. While the vegan options aren't the most adventurous, the herbal curry I ordered was absolutely delightful, and I appreciated being able to choose my own spice levels!
