Fegaropsaro - crete

While the menu may not explicitly mention vegan and vegetarian options, this restaurant offers a variety of vegan dishes such as Fava, Horta, Cabbage and carrot salad, vine leaves, Gemista, and giant beans, like many other Greek tavernas. However, there is a lack of focus on cruelty-free food as they also serve a lot of meat (including lamb and veal) and fish like other tavernas. The location is pleasant.

The staff at this restaurant was welcoming, and the appetizers and drinks were delightful. They were well-informed about vegan options and were able to suggest a few choices, which has been hard to find in Sitia (and honestly, in all of Crete) up until now.

The restaurant offers beautiful views and delicious food. The calamari was cooked perfectly and had a delicious marinade. Out of all the restaurants we tried during our visit, this one was definitely the best. If you can only choose one restaurant, make sure it's this one.

Restaurant kept by a very nice family, serving great autentic dishes. The setting of the restaurant combined with the personal approach invites to your daily meal.
