Portillo's Crestwood

This review is primarily focused on service. I will say, though, the food is very good with the exception of a few frozen items that could be upgraded – which include the bags of frozen fries. As far as a service top notch!! The manager (Nick) and his staff were kind enough to make some tweaks to our order due to the fact that there machine had temporarily stopped working and our food needed to be replaced with something else. At the end, Nick (manager) went far and beyond to provide us with excellent unwavering service while also giving us complimentary items (which he did not have to). This is the kind of service that some other institutions lack. For those in upper management that may or may not read these reviews I just want to emphasize the importance of how Nick is taking care of YOUR customers. Thank you again, Nick for creating a nice atmosphere at Portillo’s and going beyond the call of duty to make sure my family and I were taken care of.

Returning to the Crestwoor Portillo's after years was a trip down memory lane with their beef sandwiches still reigning supreme. Unlike the ones near my home, the beef here is tender, flavorful, and served in a perfect bun, making each bite a delightful experience. This location has a magic touch that others can't seem to replicate. The atmosphere is bustling yet cozy, and the service is warm, enhancing the overall dining experience. If you're in search of the quintessential Chicago beef sandwich, this Portillo's spot is unmatched. Highly recommended for a taste that takes you back and keeps you coming back.

It's Portillo's. It's always good, at least what I order is. Italian beef dipped. I'm not sure if they have the best Italian beef, but they have one of the best Italian beef sandwiches I ever had. Portillo's have good fries; and ever better fries if you get them with cheese.

Best Italian beef in Chicago, their chocolate cake is like no other. I love it all.
