Fort Robinson Museum History Center

The museum is intriguing, but the introductory video really covers everything. They missed an opportunity to make it more "kid-friendly" with an information scavenger hunt or something similar. It's engaging for adults. Plan about 30-60 minutes for the tour. The staff is excellent!

This restaurant offers a unique experience by providing a space without television or Wi-Fi, allowing guests to disconnect from modern society, reconnect with nature, and delve into the history of the old town.

The experience was not what we expected. My partner asked where everyone had gone. I heard that it's a popular camping site in the summer with lots of activities, but when we visited in October, it felt like a deserted town.

A large part of the continues is closed except now for weeks. the summer is over.

State park with full hookups! Staff pointed out sites with mature trees for us. Quiet, though full. The history piece makes the stay all the better. Nice scenic drives in the area (dirt roads, don't bring your Lexus), especially the Sowbelly loop,offered wildlife, hikes and geo-tourism. Stayed 3 nights, toured the grounds and both museums.
