After going for a walk nearby, my group of four of us decided we deserved a coffee and some cake. We didn't have a reservation, but we were impressed by the great Covid safety measures in place at the restaurant. The real highlight of our visit was the cakes - all of them were delicious. The lemon cake was especially fluffy and tasty, the date and walnut slice was possibly the best I've ever had, and our friends enjoyed the Bakewell tart and Victoria sponge. We were so impressed that we asked who made the cakes, and it turned out to be the lovely lady in the kitchen who bakes them all. We will definitely be stopping by again for some more cake in the future. The coffee wasn't the best, but it was overshadowed by the amazing cakes and friendly service.

This charming tea room is excellent - the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the cakes are delicious with a side of nice coffee. It's extremely dog-friendly and even offers doggy ice cream. We absolutely loved our visit and would definitely return and recommend to others.

The staff where lovely so it is a shame, but we did begrudge paying such a large amount for such poor quality food. We would not recommend the hot food. Our advice would be to drop the prices of the food, or improve the quality of the food.

Reviewers praise the ice cream and scones, but we had a burger and a cheese sub roll. They filled a hole, but we cant recommend them. The staff were friendly if slow.
