La Bandera Bistro - Cranston

This new little spot is sure to become the next hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, it’s definitely not your typical taco shop! There’s so much more to this charming place! The steamed tacos we tried were authentic with an upscale twist. The verde sauce and the steak were delicious! The yuca fries, along with the dipping sauce, were incredibly tasty—so good that I almost felt like I could drink a jug of it! I highly recommend this place, and I have no doubt it will be a popular destination this summer!

This cozy restaurant in Cranston features a bright and colorful interior. Their menu includes tacos, burritos, and Guatemalan specialties like pupusas. We tried a diverse selection of dishes, and our experience was a bit mixed. The pupusa was delicious, and the Guatemalan sausage taco was a standout as well. However, some of the other tacos we sampled were decent but needed a bit more flavor. The prices are quite reasonable, and I would definitely consider returning. Currently, it's a BYOB establishment, but staff mentioned they plan to obtain a full liquor license in the fall.

This place is absolutely fantastic! Some reviewers mentioned that the prices are a bit high, but I completely disagree. The prices are just right given the quality of the food, the overall experience, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. We ordered four tacos: two chorizo (my favorite), cauliflower (incredible!), and chicken (also amazing). The nachos were outstanding, and my kids loved the quesadillas. For drinks, we had a Presidente and iced tea. These are the most authentic tacos we’ve ever had, and we’ve lived in California, where we've tried plenty of great taco spots. This place ranks in my top three. It's the closest to authentic, delicious tacos I've found in Rhode Island. I would definitely come back and bring friends—this is a HIDDEN GEM! Be sure to get there early for a corner spot overlooking the street. Don’t overlook this place; it's really good!

They had a special for $5 passion fruit margaritas, so we both ordered one. They were quite tasty, but mine came with an excessive amount of ice, making it feel like there was very little margarita compared to my husband's drink. I didn't mention it since they were only $5, and my next margarita came out just fine, so I think it was just a one-off issue. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, which added to the overall experience. I really love that everything is served on paper plates and with plastic forks— it gives the place a casual, laid-back vibe. This charming little restaurant has a full bar and is conveniently located close to home. We will definitely be returning! Thanks for the wonderful dining experience!

The tacos here are incredible! The fried pork was fantastic, but my favorite was the chicken taco – it was very satisfying. The atmosphere is great too!
