Lidia's Cuban Kitchen - Cranford

I visited Lidia's last night for dinner with my family, and I was truly impressed! We tried the sampler appetizers, which my two young children absolutely loved. They enjoyed every single item, despite typically being quite picky. The entrees were served in generous portions, but the highlight was definitely the presentation of the desserts! We ordered churros with ice cream and tres leches cake. The service was outstanding; our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout our meal.

We wanted a nice lunch last Saturday 3/2 and unfortunately we left very unsatisfied. I usually do not write reviews however on this one I had to write our experience. Had lunch for a family of 7 ... the skirt stake was raw and had no taste, the rice wasnot done, the soup was cold, the pork pieces had no taste and the onions that the cook places on the food were frozen! Theplants are not fresh, they are also frozen! You would think that for the orice range and after spending $150 we would?vegotten a great meal but no, we left and had to leave the food on the table. Trust me I love Cuban food but this is not the placeto go. To expensive and no taste!

The food is fantastic, and the staff is outstanding. The ambiance is pleasant as well. I recommend calling ahead to reserve a table.

I was initially worried about the authenticity of Cuban cuisine, but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere and music truly capture the essence of Cuba. Luckily, our waitress, Tina, was of Cuban origin, and that’s when the fun began. Thank you, Tina, for your spot-on recommendations! Ralph, the owner, makes an effort to meet and greet his guests to ensure their satisfaction. The BYO policy adds to the appeal since it allows you to manage your expenses. Prices are reasonable given the location. This place is a must-visit, especially if you want to impress on a first date with genuine Cuban cuisine. Thumbs up, Ralph! You've created an amazing experience. Congratulations!

I had visited this place a few years ago and was disappointed in the food. Enough to avoid coming back for a few years. I just went back this past weekend and the food was amazing and the service was great. I'm extremely happy with the overall experienceand I'll definitely be going back very soon.
