The casino is a good size, and there are several dining and drinking options available on the property. The pool and hot tub are also very pleasant. If you enjoy golfing, you're going to love this location.
We had a delightful couple of days relaxing at St. Eugene. The grounds and buildings are stunning. The property has a deeply unsettling and traumatic history, so witnessing its positive transformation is incredibly powerful. The rooms in the mission building are fascinating and rich with the history of the St. Eugene mission. Be sure to visit the interpretive center; you're bound to learn something important about the history of the residential school era and the decades that led to such a tragedy. On a lighter note—though the atmosphere is far from gloomy—the cocktails we enjoyed at the Numa bar were truly some of the best we've ever had, and we’re no strangers to cocktails!
Was very disappointed with our stay. I had asked for a room close to the casino and ask if I could get early check in. We didn't get a room until 4:30 and it was far from the casino and on the second floor when I specifically asked for the first floor when we got to the room I always pulled the covers back to check the sheets and found that the sheets were used and they were never changed. There was black pubic hair on the sheets. I called and the housekeeping lead came and looked at the sheets. It was like that on both beds. Obviously they had just made the bed without changing anything. I then asked them to change the sheets and then I checked the shower and the tub was full of hair as well. So I then ask for another room. The general manager came and she looked at it and couldn't understand the big deal because she said lots of people have black hair. I agreed they do, but I don't want to sleep with other people's pubic hair. After demanding another room I finally got one which was even further away from the casino. Four hours after being in the room. They called and said oh we could move to a room nearer to the casino on the first floor a little late as we were just getting ready for bed. They promised me that they would give me a discount and of course that never happened. Not that that really fixes the problem. Very disappointed. Will never stay there again and I suggest that if you do decide to stay there, open up the beds and check the bed sheets because I feel they have a habit of just making the beds without cleaning the rooms.Rooms: If they cleaned the rooms they would be nice. Unfortunately, they don't seem to do that and it's understandable that they get away with it because the general manager feels that's acceptable
Was a great celebratory 75th birthday dinner. Friendly greeting by the hostess and quickly seated. Server was also excellent and delivered our drink order in timely fashion. Ordered the Wagu burger, a seafood dish( cod I think) and my wife and I had the Chicken Wellington share dish. Plating and presentation was impressive and all very much enjoyed our meals. Was an excellent milestone Birthday dinner and we again extend our compliments to the chef and service staff. You guys added to a very enjoyable day. Highly recommend
My husband and I just returned home from a 3 day golf trip from Aug. 1 3. My husband has stayed here once before as a guest and has golfed the course numerous times since it opened 20 years ago. This was my first time here after wanting to come for several years now. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and were more than happy with ALL this resort had to offer. We actually cancelled a trip to Vegas to come here instead and were NOT DISAPPOINTED in the least!! A couple we met from our church were coincidentally attending this resort at the same time celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. We appreciated the history of this location and how they have done their utmost to maintain the authenticity of the Mission in respect to the buildings and grounds. We also appreciated greatly how they have made a huge effort to HONOUR, RESPECT and ACKNOWLEDGE the children who were a part of this past Residential School.Rooms: We stayed in the Mission and were very impressed with the decor, size, cleanliness of room and bathroom. We met our cleaning staff who were most helpful, accommodating and friendly. We had a lovely view overlooking the front gardens. TV channel selection was great along with the WIFI coverage. The beds were extremely comfortable. Coincidentally a couple we know from our church were staying there at the same time and they commented on the comfort of the mattress as well.Nearby activities: We took advantage of the Stay and Play Package. We stayed for 2 nights and golfed 18 holes one of the days. The course was absolutely beautiful ?. We golfed with a lovely, friendly couple who were locals and members it was so nice playing with this couple who knew the course so well. We drove a cart and appreciated the GPS which was in the cart. The staff in the Pro shop were professional, friendly and helpful. I appreciated the selection of golf wear and even bought myself a cute golf dress. In the evenings we spent time in the casino where we appreciated the excellent service all round from the restaurant staff to the casino cashiers all very friendly and efficient at their jobs. We found there to be a good selection of slot machines and enjoyed playing some that were new to us. The tables were not open but that didn 't make any difference to our enjoyable time spent there. We were even a little bit lucky ourselves!! One night there was a very lucky winner who won a $33k progressive!! It was very exciting!!We didn 't take advantage of the outdoor pool facilities but had we stayed longer we would have. It looked very clean and inviting.Safety: Felt VERY SAFE!! Everywhere we went and walked. The grounds were well lit and there was an inside passage from the casino building and hotel to the mission.Walkability: Nice gardens and walking paths. The grounds were clean with beautiful vegetation.Food drinks: We took advantage of ALL 3 restaurants. Breakfast twice at The 19th Hole (very good with great service); a later dinner in the casino restaurant the evening we arrived also very good food and great service. Appreciated the wine and beer selections. One evening one of the servers was making her rounds in the casino making sure we had beverages if desired. And the evening we dined at the Numa Lounge was an AMAZING dining experience. Our server was Sophia such a lovely young lady who gave us great service!! She made wonderful suggestions on appetizers, main items, shareables and the wine choice she made was AMAZING!! We started with the bannock and spinach dip, followed by the 8oz Northfork Bison Ribeye and our shareable was the Maple Roasted Nantes Carrots, whipped Ricotta and Dhukka. The portions were more than enough and DELICIOUS!! The wine Sophia suggested was a Cabernet Sauvignon, BC wine from Phantom Creek EXCEPTIONAL!!Noteworthy details: My husband I have NOTHING negative to say about our entire St. Eugene Mission experience!! Our 30th wedding anniversary was one we 'll remember!! The entire staff we
