Altitude Restaurant Lounge Bar

This is a fantastic spot to relax after visiting Dove Lake, located just 5 minutes from the visitor center.

The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the food was the worst I’ve ever had—it was almost amusing. I suppose this is to be expected in a mountain setting. The broth was just a plain broth with a spoonful of olive oil and dukkah. My idea of a Cob Loaf is quite different, especially considering it cost $20—perhaps that’s on me. We ended up sending back the mushroom patch; it was inedible on the stale bread. The smoked salmon was decent, but we couldn't manage anything else. I wish I had just stayed in my room and had the two-minute noodles instead.

The buffet was somewhat pricey, but the food was delicious and filling! You can't be too picky since there aren't many dining options near Cradle Mountain. It’s a comfortable place to refuel after a long day exploring Cradle Mountain National Park.

The fish of the day ordered, fish and chips for $33. had to go to the bribe in the bar.
