Pasta Roo - COZUMEL

We saw this on Trip Advisor and decided to try it. We had a very nice, simple meal in keeping with the Home style Italian kitchen. The chef/owner prides herself on the authentic style of food, difficult to do in Mexico without some of the ingredients found in Italy. The restaurant is out of the way, but a lovely location aside a small park. Easy parking, open air, so it would be difficult in any heavy rain. I didn’t know how to post that I gave this four stars for the limited menu, but we had a five star experience. It is very nice to get away from the tourist area into a quiet part of town and enjoy a calm meal and simple pleasures.

This was a random discovery just down the road from an Airbnb and what a stroke of luck. This is a small garden style bistro that serves great and genuine home made Italian food, perfect when you feel like having something “from home”. The chef came out for a chat, she was very friendly and talkative without being intrusive, she also spoke fluent English which helps at times. The food was fresh, tasty, cooked with care and there was plenty of it.

Pasta Roo is located next to a park in residential area. Very cute restaurant. Our 10 year son had meat sauce pasta, which became his favorite in the trip. My Peperonchini was one of the best. This is something we cannot exoerience in US.
