Carlos'n Charlie's Beach Club - COZUMEL

We enjoyed several meals here. From our experience the best of the beach bars/restaurants on Cozumel. Food is very good, always fresh tasting and not oily. Fajitas and Ceviche recommended. Try it.

It was with great sadness that I report that Carlos 'n Charlie 's has permanently closed due to the pandemic. This was our go to whenever on the island. This establishment will be sorely missed.

Our excursion was cancelled on this day due to high wind and rough seas. All water activities were cancelled. Since we didn't find this out until we were off the ship, we weren't sure what we wanted to do. After talking with a nice lady...at the information booth, she suggested a couple beach restaurants, where we could soak in the wonderful surroundings. We decided on Carlos n' Charlies. It wasn't that far from the port area maybe a 15 minute drive and about $15 one way. We had four people in our van and split it. The place is pretty large and has that perfect beach vibe. Music was playing and we were able to get a nice table on the beach under a palm palapa. We stayed about four hours, enjoying the food and the drinks. There is a lot to do here. Although we couldn't do the water sports due to the rough sea, there are several shops including a beach jewelry stand where the guy makes unique pieces (good prices). You can get a henna tattoo, group photo, massage or walk the beach. This was the perfect little getaway at a reasonable price!

This place is a blast! After disembarking from our cruise ship, we rented a couple of scooters and hit road. We didn 't have any specific plans and just happen to stop here for lunch. Are we glad we did. What a fun place. The staff...was super fun and friendly, the beach was sandy and the water great. We also went parasailing!! Carlos 'n Charlie 's is great for kids too. We didn 't have any, but there were a lot there and they were having a great time. There were large big toys in the water that made it more fun. I don 't know if there is charge for this, but we didn 't pay anything. We are vegan and there weren 't any vegan or vegetarian options on the menu. But we explained what we wanted and they made something up for us.

Spent a day off the Carnival Breeze and visited Carlos n Charlies Beach Club. Many beach chairs, lots of fun waiters, good drinks food. Beautiful bathroom with changing areas. Our friend David has good to sell for great prices. Recommended for a day on the beach. Short taxi ride from the pier.
