Cowra Bowling and Recreation Club Limited

Oh my goodness, the portions are huge! The mixed grill I ordered was so tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is bright and cheerful, and the staff are really friendly.

Wow, the chef at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! Despite being packed with 150 bowlers from various locations, our meals were served promptly and cooked to perfection. The portions were very generous.

Just an overnight stay in Cowra and was advised where we were staying, that Jack High Family Restaurant within the Cowra Bowling and Recreation Club serves decent meals and it was only a 7-minute walk away. The Club was spacious, clean and had a friendly vibe to it, when we entered the premises. The staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Being a Monday night, it wasn’t that busy, so we had the freedom to choose which table to seat at. Before I ordered, I asked the lady, if the lamb is Cowra? To my delight, it is. So, I ordered Lamb Cutlets with a serve of chips and salad – the presentation was lovely but I believe the lamb cutlets were deep fried, I much preferred pan fried and the chips are your standard frozen chips – still nice and the salad, loved the salad, fresh and crisp with a good mix but overly delighted to find radish (this veg is so underrated) in my salad… pretty rare and completes the salad – thank you! My wife ordered Chicken Mushroom Crepe – she totally enjoyed her meal and beautifully presented. The crepe was piping hot, cheesy topping and the chicken mushroom filling was delicious and served with that delicious salad as well. We were going to have dessert, but we simply couldn’t fit it. Highly recommend this place, family friendly vibe and the meals are of good value, you will leave the place on a full, happy tummy.

We attended a funeral wake, so decided to have tea before leaving. We were warned not to eat a the restaurant but decided to give it a go as we were not from Cowra. Was not a good idea, should of listened to the warning. Our meat was luke warm and the vegies were cold. We were with locals that had pizza, should of listened. Would NOT recommend the restaurant.

The bowling club offers discounts and temporary membership for those staying at the motel we were at . Schnitzel night -dinner for $12- thank you very much!
