Bani's Restaurant Bar - Cowes

The moussaka was tasty, but the portion was smaller than I had hoped for. On the other hand, the vegan bowl was a generous serving and absolutely delicious. The octopus, while a smaller portion, had unique flavors that we didn’t mind exploring. The barramundi was a suitable portion as well. Overall, we had a good experience, and the staff were lovely and very friendly. However, I’m not sure we would choose to return for dinner when we’re in the area again.

My partner and I were searching for a place to have dinner before attending the penguin parade. After exploring various options in Phillip Island, we came across Bani's Kitchen. Although we were a bit uncertain, we decided to give it a shot, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. We started with the Green fava bean dip, which I had never tried before, but absolutely loved. For our main course, we ordered the lamb shoulder, accompanied by a fresh green salad and almond tahini. We also added a side of roasted beetroot, and everything was delicious! The restaurant is quite small, with just one staff member managing front of house. He was incredibly friendly and provided prompt and attentive service, despite being busy with the entire restaurant. If you find yourself in Phillip Island, I highly recommend visiting Bani's Kitchen. I can't recommend this place enough!

Fantastic food! I tried the vegan bowl, and it was incredibly delicious—the pumpkin was beautifully creamy, and the house-made hummus was outstanding. The portion sizes were generous, leaving me feeling very satisfied. My partner ordered the beef souvlaki, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The chef is exceptionally skilled and clearly passionate about his work. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!

A lovely hidden gem on the island. We had the lamb and chicken souvlaki. Both were equally satisfying. Don’t expect your usual pita wrapped souvlaki with onions and tomatoes or you will be disappointed! Here it is served on opened style on flatbread and topped with greens and tahini/ tzatziki.

Excellent food. This small, unpretentious restaurant serves amazingly good food . <br/ Slow cooked lamb was delicious and the side of roasted baby beets wonderful.<br/ Lovely service and so nice that chef pops out to say hello. <br/ We highly recommend a visit. <br/
