Ordered food to be delivered by grub hub. Never received food. Everytime I called Shane's they up me on hold for at least 10 minutes. Finally called back 30 minutes before they closed they payed the phone down and heard them take their last order and played the rest of the time. I called back for the last 15 minutes they never hung the phone back up till after they closed and would not answer. I even sent them a message about my food with no reply. I will be calling the manager.2 Smothered Pork Sandwich and Mac and cheese.
I used to work at Shane‘s rib shack brown bridge location many years ago. I was the first crew to be hired for the grand opening. The way this Shane’s is being ran now is not the way Shane himself or corporate would want any restaurant ran. This is the third time in a few months my family and I have visited this particular location. Every time we have had a problem. The first time, my fiancé and I got a salad. We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took us about 45 mins (not exaggerating) to get our food. The only reason we got them was because my fiancé got up and asked for it. The 2nd time, we ordered online with curb side pick up. When we arrived, we let them know we were there. We sat in our car for a good 30 mins, calling a few times during this time. We finally decided to go in and get it. The girl behind the counter told my fiancé “they were still making it.” The girl had a HORRIBLE attitude. Come to find out, our order was sitting on the metal shelf, cold, the whole time. Today, I wanted some fried okra really bad so we decided to go to Shane’s. Again, had a problem. Walked in, was not greeted, no smile on the girls face, talking over me when I was asking my 8 year old what she would like to eat. HORRIBLE attitude. While we were getting our drinks, we noticed mold on the ice maker. Once we got our good, we were trying to get the attention of a worker, we said “ma’am” to get her attention. She turned around and literally said “HUH” to us… when she turned around, we noticed she had her air pods in her ear. Also, while we were eating today, my fiancé noticed rotten (literally brown) lettuce in his salad. While the restaurant was still in operation with customers in the store (07:30 pm), the same girl with the bad attitude proceeded to turn off all tvs while customers were watching and stack chairs on the table as if they were closing in 15 mins. We felt rushed and not valued. The food hasn’t been good at all the past three times we’ve been either. For my 8 year old to ask her dad and myself “what is wrong with her? Why is she acting so rude toward you” is ABSURD. This behavior is unacceptable but especially at Shane’s because I’ve always thought so highly of this chain of restaurants. Today as a family, we have decided we will no longer be eating at Shane’s because of the bad food, the bad attitudes, the terrible customer service, the food not being good, and many other things. To be honest, I don’t know how this particular Shane’s is still in business. If you visit the original Shane’s, you will see this is not the “Shane way”. I am not one to leave a lot of reviews, but this has got out of control.
All shanes restaurants are scamming their customers now. Don't believe see for yourself. Walk into any store and read the prices on menu. Then order that item. They will charge you more and tell you oh well we haven't updated our menus and just to pay. They will not honor their prices on menu and will arrogantly tell you that. This place doesn't care about customers experience anymore since covid. Just taking your money. Be prepared to guess how much your order will be and how much they will charge you. Will be reporting this business for false advertising and you should too. It feels like they are stealing from their customers.
The restaurant is good, but I ordered a rib/chicken plate and received a chicken plate.
