Golden Phoenix Chinese - Covington

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. It took an hour to receive my order through delivery. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with black bean sauce combo. I only received three pieces of chicken (which was what I really wanted), along with 6 garnishes and a lot of bell peppers and paprika. I also ordered fried rice, which was okay at best. I paid $16 for a small amount of food that was only moderately satisfying.

I used to enjoy the food at this restaurant, but my recent experience was disappointing. I paid $15 for sesame chicken and it was extremely overcooked and tough. I had to search for something else to eat. Half of my dish was dirty and even the clean parts were hard to chew, like a rock stuck in my teeth. I was unable to enjoy my meal at all.

We have been dining at this restaurant in Covington since August 2022. The food has been great, albeit a bit pricey, which seems to be common for Chinese food these days. However, during our recent visit, we noticed a significant decline in both the quantity and quality of the food. This was unfortunately our last visit, as we ordered over $60 worth of food that mysteriously disappeared. When we questioned the staff, they claimed we never ordered it, yet our total bill was $13 higher than it should have been for the items we did order. The missing food was not replaced and despite tipping, we left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied.

The food was really delicious! best krabbe rangoon I had in very long time. recommend def.

First time here, we got what was recommended. Chicken chicken, the warm bbq pork and Special egg foo young. We will be back for sure
