Village Fish - Coventry

Absolutely excellent food since the new owner has taken over. The fish and chips are now consistently excellent, the kebabs are very good and the Turkish charcoal grills are out of this world being served with Turkish chopped salad, spicy rice and flatbreads. Two of these grills easily are enough for the three of us. Great staff and really high quality food.

Since Tony has taken over the food has really improved and the menu is much broader. In recent weeks we've tried Fish and Chips, Burgers, Kebabs and tonight the mixed grill. All have been really lovely but tonight's charcoal mixed grill was the best ever. Beautiful marinated chicken and lamb, shish served with tasty rice, a huge range of salad and flat breads. Excellent value and very generous portions in fact knowing the generosity of the chippy we only ordered two mixed grills for the three of us. Very high quality indeed. Thanks!

I never do this but, the food was so nice that I felt I needed to let people know, hubby went in for convenience, just chips for me as the food isn't always to good there but I was in for a nice surprise, food was amazing, fresh, hot and not one bad chip, will definitely be using you more now, new owners were nice aswell (bonus)

We've had a reasonable meal from here on a number of occasions previously. Straightforward and hot. This time, it could be best described as cold and chewy. Inconsistent. Won't be returning.
