Another successful few days with new ales. By Saturday most we’re gone Shane it took ages to get Tim Taylor back on. Pat on back to the hardworking staff. A must visit Coventry venue.

Its been nice to visit the town where i was at University. However i must say some people should not be working behind bars !! The Manager Michelle was very rude and acted like she was doing us a favour and could not be bothered...to even raise a smile or offer a friendly greeting to my boyfriend and i She should consider getting another job if its to much trouble for her. Its a shame she has to bring this bar down as we had really enjoyed Halloween night there along with the Disco on the Saturday. Her husband really worked hard to drum up business. Standing outside in the cold to draw in custom on Halloween. despite the fact that he must of been freezing. … Only for her moodiness to undermine all the good work he puts in. It was obvious that night as well .. that she'd rather not be there and was undermining the other staff Roxy the other bar maid was lovely! As was Peter ! So why this obnoxious woman seems to think its acceptable to be openly rude obnoxious to paying customers is beyond me!!! My boyfriend is from Coventry and visits more often that i. He said she is running the bar down these days and that him and his mates now prefer the Town Wall Tavern where your guaranteed a friendly welcome. ... I don't know why she just does not sell up ... if its too much for her to raise a smile and offer a friendly welcome greeting. Let alone her bad manners. We certainly won't attend this bar again if she's working.

Nice pub, poor service. Staff need to be trained on serving Thatcher's Cider. Their manners could be better also.

Lovely from the outside, rambling on the inside, very atmospheric. Got chatting to the locals, the beer was good. As was the food. A proper british pub, and we will come agaon.

Excellent traditional pub, lots of decent beers but try Purity a local brew. Nice multi room layout that has been well preserved
