The Boat - Coventry

I had a great experience at this pub with friendly staff and delicious food. The atmosphere was welcoming and everyone made an effort to ensure we had a comfortable visit. We tried the steak and chips as well as the Turkey roast, both of which were incredibly tasty. We enjoyed our meal so much that we have already made a reservation to come back. Highly recommended! My husband, child, and I stopped by for a drink at this restaurant. When I went to order at the bar, the staff asked if the fruit-shoot I ordered was for my child. When I confirmed that it was, they said they couldn't serve us unless the child was also having a main meal. Even though we planned to sit outside because all the tables were reserved, they still wouldn't allow it. I find this rule to be absolutely ridiculous.

We had a family gathering at this restaurant, but were disappointed to find no Christmas decorations on our table. Although we had made a reservation for five people, the table was only suitable for three. We noticed another table that would have accommodated six to seven people, but only three people were seated there. The bar staff seemed miserable and the meals we ordered were disappointing. We will not be coming back to this restaurant.

Visited today for lunch for the 1st time. Lovely quaint pub with nice large beer garden. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Huge portions, left very happy. Highly recommend.

This is our favourite place to eat as a family or as a couple. Food is amazing. Chef is brilliant at what she does.
