Evergreen - Coventry

I have always been satisfied with the food from this restaurant, so I was surprised to see some negative reviews. We frequently order takeout from here and it is consistently great.

I went to this restaurant to get a takeaway kung pao chicken. For nine pounds, I received low-quality, tough, tasteless meat, diluted supermarket sauce, unflavorful vegetables, and bland rice. The portions were small. The dish was supposed to have some spiciness, but it was lacking. Overall, it was very boring. I will not be returning.

The food was terrible and the service was very disappointing. I would not recommend going to this Chinese takeaway, as it was the worst one I have ever visited. The special fried rice had cubed ham and tiny prawns. It's up to you if you choose to go, but I suggest going somewhere else instead. If possible, I would give them a 0 rating.

Regular Chinese for years. Tried others but always come back. Tastes 'clean ', not just a mush of food. Not massive portions but would rather have quality over quantity.

As far as I'm concerned this is the best Chinese takeaway in Coventry. I've probably tried around 10 other Chinese takeaways in the last few years, and this beats the lot. Rice is not dry, chicken is succulent, king prawns are juicy, and sweet and sour chicken balls are actually full of chicken as opposed to mostly just batter. Open plan kitchen so you can see the chefs at work, plus my daughter gets a lollipop so all good!
