Al-bader - Coventry

We celebrated my colleagues Hen Do (17 of us) and the service was exceptional. Two young men served us for 3 hours (they did the work of many) and the food was so fresh with extremely large portions. If you are looking for somewhere unique with fantastic prices and service that makes you want to come back for me then this is the place to be. Excellent food, big portion sizes, freshly cooked and authentic. The staff are lovely as well and go out of the way to accommodate your needs and requests. Thank you for making my sisters birthday celebrations special went above and beyond with their service.

A warm welcome from the owner, a semi authentic decoration and what many would call hidden away and not easy to find i found that to be a plus sign, its tucked away and you are unlikely to get a large crowd or noise out or even passers by unless they are going to the restaurant. The food was fresh the lamb koftas were one of the juiciest iv had in a lebonese place for a while and the rice was refreshingly coloured yellow not boring white rice. The hummous we ordered was the spicy one but was more flavoured than spicy i think thats because im a massive spice lover. Over all the price was just right if anything average to most arab cuisines out there. Place was clean but more decoration could be added. Will definitly want to go back again. Thanks

The food was excellent, particularly the Moroccan lamb dishes. Friendly and good service and very good value

We were looking forward to trying this restaurant and came for lunch at 2, as soon as they opened. We were welcomed without fuss, made to feel like guests at a relative's house (the confident, relaxed cousin with a comfy sofa and delicious home cooking -type) and really enjoyed every minute of our stay. We tried lots of starters and were transported back to our travels to the middle East. The food is tasty and unfussingly authentic. The lamb tagine melted in the mouth without overwhelming you with richness and the selection of baklava and Turkish coffee were a great treat at the end of a lovely meal. We were full, but not overburdened, ready to explore more of this wonderful multicultural city!
