Pizzeria Guerilla - Courtenay

I ordered the Amatriciana and added sausage. Great crust and tasty sauce but there was a very strong raw garlic taste. I love garlic but this was too much I had to stop eating. Upside is the vampires should leave me alone. Downside is i feel achy.

I'm grading on a curve because this is outside a big city. The funghi pizza had a wonderful crispy thin crust and they were super sweet about giving me a side of marinara sauce, but the pizza itself needed more salt and garlic. Either way, it hit the spot after a 16km hike at Strathcona. The attached brewery had delightful sours too!

At first, I thought this was a little pricey for Courtney $19 each, largish size. But, right next to Gladstone brewing... And I had just bought a flight. Beer n pizza, killer combo. Then the pizza came out. Oh man. So delicious. The toppings were slightly thin, but so. Delicious. Crispy thin crust, yummy cheesy goodness. We had the special Brassica, but I could have easily gone for the fungi. Carbs well spent.

Amazing little pizza place! Loved the fungi pizza and lots of great beer on tap. Great atmosphere and service.

Ranks with the best pizza in Naples, Italy. Crust is thin, crispy and delicious. Toppings are fresh, abundant and extremely tasty. Can't wait to return!
