Grains Bakery + Bistro - Courtenay

Great food, great staff, cozy atmosphere and an awesome outdoor patio! I highly recommend Grains Bakery.

Grains Bakery bakes gluten free breads once a week and has some frozen on other days. I have had a number of these breads and could serve them anytime to anyone as they are flavorful and have a great texture. No one would know they are Gluten Free!

Lots of good choices to pick from and certainly the food runs out if your not there early in the day as it sells out fast.Well worth the trip.

Nice place to get your daily bread, or cake for any special time in your life. Or take cake to dinner you are invited to. Lovely sandwiches as well. Easy to find and great parking. Very friendly staff.

I really like this shop. You can get a yummy loaf of bread and six free buns. It was just pouring on my last visit to Courtenay so we had a drink and munched on our apple strudel. When you go have a close look at the table tops. I think they are mid 40's porcelin table tops with pull outs. They have items for lunch and a daily soup or two...yummy. So drop in an try one of their yummy items with a cuppa or just pick up to go. I think you will enjoy anything they serve.
