No longer an Italian restaurant though they still offer good pizzas and some pasta dishes prepared by their Italian sous chef. The new chef has extended the menu to include more bistro type dishes. The belly pork and beef cheeks were delicious. Service and atmosphere continue to be exemplary. Lovely to sit in their curtained gazebos or pergolas on a sunny Summer evening.
Absolutely 10/10! Me and my family have been going for about a year now and it is some of the best food and service we've had at restaurants. The servers are very friendly and polite, they have many affordable food options and lots of offers such as on Tuesdays you can get a pizza and a drink for 10 pounds (per person) which is a great price to dine out with family and friends especially during these stressful times. We will 100% keep going back!
Exceptional quality food beautifully presented. I started with the ham hock terrine which was full of flavor and came with a apple chutney also made here. My with had the prawns which were well prepared and cooked to perfection. I then had the slow cooked pork belly two pieces that don't look enormous but heck do they fill you and melt in the mouth. My wife had the hake again beautifully cooked. Only two little grumbles the chips which were well cooked had a little too much salt on for my liking. And I was too full to fit in a sweet. We will return. Oh and the beer was good and service very pleasant.
We had the belly pork and beef cheek, really lovely meat with perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. Nice atmosphere and welcoming staff.
Called in without pre booking. Very professional and friendly staff. Excellent meal belly pork and steak ale pie. Bit different menu which is refreshing. Would be happy to recommend the food and hosts here.
