Clear and clean tables, lovely girl washing floor. Speedy service at last, huge improvement. The new Magic coffee is lovely but small and expensive so doubt it will catch on in BA. I will go back to my usual Cappuccino but glad I tried it. Best scones around and good Bacon roll, will always pop in when shopping. Well done M&S in these difficult times. Love the shop also.
Great service from Emma …Had to review this as this young lady had been abused by the customer behind us waiting in the line to be seated. She remained very Calm and professional but didn’t deserve to be spoken to like he did over having to wait to be seated. One Word RUDE CUSTOMER.!!! Great hot food and fast service this young lady is an asset to MSRKS AND SPENCERS…
Same as others around the country in that the place was freezing cold! Why can't they try and segregate the cafe from the store?
I went to this restaurant for lunch today with my mother. We waited in line at the entrance and each chose a toasted sandwich. Suddenly, we were asked in a somewhat rude manner to complete the track and trace. When we looked confused, the staff member started pointing at signs and then started shouting at everyone in line to also read the signs. She said there are signs everywhere and that they are clearly displayed, even at the entrance. I downloaded a QR reader on my phone and we scanned the code to complete the track and trace. While this was fine for me as a tech-savvy 30-year-old, I found it could be complex for their general clientele to download QR readers on their phones. If my mother had been alone with my father, they would have been confused and the lady was not helpful. It took a long time to be served our hot drinks even though we were at the front of the line, so my mother told me to take the bags and find a table. As I walked into the cafe from the line, I sat at the first table on the left that I saw. I checked to make sure it was okay to remove my face mask, and suddenly a woman clearing the table seemed like she was going to scold me. I thought she was going to tell me to put my mask back on, but she said to use the proper entrance next time. I was confused because I had clearly entered through the correct entrance given the time I spent in line. I explained this to her, but she walked away without apologizing. My lunch with my mother was ruined by the sheer ignorance of this waitress. It was frustrating to be scolded like a child in a school cafeteria when I hadn't done anything wrong. I am not sure what the staff had for breakfast, but it clearly wasn't a lesson in customer service. Next time, I will go elsewhere.
