Costa Coffee In Barnard Castle

I have visited this Costa a couple of times and I am only giving it a 1-star review because of the delicious drinks. Otherwise, I would have rated it 0 stars. I believe that all Costas make drinks the same way. However, this place is not special and is not suitable for children. The staff's behavior is unacceptable. One time, I ordered a hot chocolate but was recommended a vitamin B tea, the healthiest option on the menu. When I declined and said no thank you, the staff member rolled her eyes, walked away, and proceeded to whisper to her colleagues about my weight. This was not okay. I am grateful that the drinks were good; otherwise, I would have reported the incident to the manager. I do not recommend this place.

Costa Coffee in Barnard Castle is a typical example of the chain. While the design may be a bit plain, the cafe is clean and well-organized with ample seating, including a nice outdoor section that overlooks the castle ruins. The service was fast and the coffee was tasty.

The cappuccino and toast at this restaurant are really delicious, as are the homemade oat biscuits. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is good.

Great service and food quality as always. Staff very friendly, outside area perfect in this weather.

Easy visit! served straight away no queuing for table pleasant staff, bit pricey for coffee and cheese and tomato toasty, £7.50 but enjoyable Sunday morning breakfast. 10/10
