They say judge a book by it's cover. This is true of this place. We walked out when we first went in. After reading reviews we went back and sorry we did. The place doesn't look clean felt like dishes were just rinsed in water no soap. We had some shrimp that nothing special, vegetables and Li was cooking crock pot squash that was tasteless. Wasn't sure if Li lives in the building very messy disgusting. $35.00 wasted for lunch.
What an awesome hole in the wall surprise. We live in Southeast Asia half the year and trapped in here for a quick lunch and had a few dishes. None of them disappointed but his prawns were amazing. Have made the drive from Boise a couple more times.Says a lot when you're driving such a long way it's just for amazing food. Way better than anywhere in Boise
Delicious foods made with fresh veggies. Friendly and very attentive. Excited for our next visit???
This was a once in a lifetime experience. We show up in this small town and enter this tiny rundown restaurant. It has the most advanced electric organ I've ever seen and a pool table free to shoot pool. We sit at the bar and he immediately dishes us a bunch of fresh sliced watermelon and cantaloupe. Takes our drink orders and ask what we like to eat. For him, that meant just tell him what proteins you wanted. We said we were looking for something vegetarian, and he says what vegetables do you like? He then takes these two large dinner plates and begins to pile on vegetables that we give him the heads up for. There's red and green bell pepper, fresh asparagus, super green broccoli, that is a real shocker, fresh morel mushrooms! Then he cooks it all up and piles onto our plates this huge rainbow assortment. Unlike a lot of small Chinese restaurants in towns like this, there's no sauce, it's really not one of those thick over the gooey corn starch concoctions. Li is totally laid-back and charming with his broken English. This is the best food we've enjoyed in Idaho.
