Brasserie Du Rivage

My wife and I visited on a hot day to have lunch. Because it was so hot, (over 32 c), we asked to be seated inside out of the sun. This request was refused, so we left. If they can afford to turn away paying customers, it doesn't say much about their hospitality. Their loss. Luckily, we found a far better restaurant at a local golf course. And the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

On arrival, the owner did not acknowledge us. She then ignored us all the time we were in the restaurant (and it wasn't exactly busy). We had a three course meal so we were not exactly in and out in a few minutes. When we left she still ignored us so we made a point of saying goodbye to her. She did reply but looked as if she had just eaten a lemon. Mind you, we had just paid 120€ so what is wrong with her? We were with French friends who don't speak English so the language was no excuse. The young waiter on the other hand was very friendly and courteous. Service was quick and correct. Starters: tomato salad was good and generous. The charcuterie was generous but contained mainly standard, cheap supermarket sausages. Ample bread and butter. Main course : the mussels Normandes were truly excellent. Dessert : very standard and boring. Coffee : good. Ambiance : a typical sea-side café with cheap tables and chairs. Prices : starters and dessert far too expensive for what you get. Reasonable for the mussels. We would go back for the mussels (and ignore the owner) but wouldn't order anything else again.

Merci de prendre en compte les avis de vos clients. La qualité des frites a été notée. En lisant l'avis de JL, je suis bouleversé par de tels commentaires. Il est honteux de donner un avis aussi insultant envers une personne en particulier. C'est inacceptable. Personnellement, je n'ai jamais eu de problème avec cette personne malgré un comportement assez abrupt au début.

Brasserie en bord de mer, avec vue direct sur les îles Chausey. Accueil sympathique. Menu simple mais correct. Prix raisonnables

Good value quality price, in a place of ben. Nothing to blame. except can be ignored the health pass.
