Schoolgrounds Cafe - Cottage Grove

I've been driving from this place for years, but never stopped until my last trip to Wisconsin is back. The place is small and picturesque with many works of art together with a gallery. You have a nice coffee selection and some breakfast items and baked goods as well. Throughout the week, you will make various events with different food options. All we had here was delicious and the service was excellent. I'll be in Cottage Grove the next time.

Nice place. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my wife said it was good. My iced tea was good. We got some goodies and everything was good. A little hard on the crust for the square cake, but maybe it's just me. Super friendly people too.

Incredible service and such a cozy, unique atmosphere! We were greeted by the owner with a warm welcome at the door. We came ignorantly to the end, and they insisted on whipping up a few lattes. The baked goods also look delicious. We will definitely come back!

I love this place. If you couldn't guess, the café is an old school house! Super sweet. The workers are always so friendly and helpful. I love love her frittata! Gluten-free I am half limited with my selection of foods. But even if I were not gluten-free, I would go for the Frittata every time! If you find yourself in the area, stop! You won't regret it!

A rare gem of a coffee shop. This place quite literally has it all. The service is top notch. They go out of there way to talk to you and genuinely show interest in you. The coffee, fantastic. Best I’ve had in Madison area since moving to the area 4 years ago. The food, terrific. I’ve had their scones and breakfast sandwiches and both had me wanting more. Lastly, the vibe here is truly wonderful. Feels like you’re stepping into a museum but where you get to hang out and drink lattes. They also have outdoor eating and life concerts in the warmer months. Go out of your way to come here. Make a date out of it. Whatever it takes. You won’t be disappointed!
