The best pizza I've had in a long time crust is crunchy, sauce in nice mix of tangy and sweet. And the pepperoni and the nice little ones that cup when heated up. Great place to pick up a quick bit for lunch or a pizza to take home with you for the family. Also the cannoli is great!
We were under the impression this was a casual, sit-down restaurant. We were really surprised to walk into a tiny shop. There was plenty of outdoor seating, but the flies have been bad this year. So, there was one employee, and he was on the phone. There was one pizza sitting out in the open and 2 behind glass under the heat lamps. We finally left after standing there for 5 minutes. It sounded like his conversation wasn't ending any time soon. We were traveling (our first day of vacation), so we didn't have time to wait. We were hungry!
Not great, at best. We had to pick out at least a dozen partially rotted pieces of red leaf lettuce from our salad that looked lovely, otherwise, though the tiny holes in the spinach leaves were a sign that it, too, was perhaps a few days from being fresh. The dressing, while tasty, was way too heavy. My wife used paper napkins to soak that up. Not a great pizza crust, which made a valiant though not terribly successful effort to rise around the edges. The weight of the fresh sauce overwhelmed the dough's efforts in the center. I thought about using some pepper flakes, but they were brown, not red. Once again, not fresh. Otherwise, flavors on the pizza were okay. Ambience was fine for take out, but not a place to dine in.
I really like their pizza by the slice, and my boys eat too much of it. I'm glad we have them in our small town. I wish they'd put umbrellas on their outdoor seating.
