This restaurant in Moreton in Marsh is fantastic. The building is very attractive with exposed stonework. The manageress is welcoming and charming, and the staff are attentive and friendly. The Strawberry Mojito and delicious pizzas were delightful, followed by an Afragato. It was a very enjoyable and laid-back dining experience. It's clear that this is a well-run restaurant.
Seems to have gone downhill since I went a while back. Maybe change of chef ?? Normally get a small side salad with the dish I have but not this time. Staff seem under pressure and not very smiley :
We were seated in a cold room and were soon asked for our drinks choice. These took some time to arrive and we then ordered our food to find that one of the choices for the main meal was unavailable. It was a long time before our starters arrived, despite there being few other diners. When the plates were finally cleared there was another long wait for the mains to arrive. The celebration of a special occasion was marred by any lack of interest in customer service by the staff.
We were shown to a table and then ignored so we decided to order online. We then waited some time for our starters. When the starters arrived I mentioned that we still had no drinks. We finished our starters and when the plates were cleared I again asked for our drinks. These did eventually arrive and were removed from the bill. During the long wait for our main course a member of staff asked if we wanted to order anything else not realising we were still waiting for our main. Whilst we were there a couple were sat at a table and given menus but walked out without ordering. Another group had to go and find a member of staff to take their order. The food was very average and overpriced for what it was and the decor very tired. AVOID!
