Praha Avenida Escazu - Costa Rica

My boyfriend and I were staying at a hotel nearby and decided to come to this restaurant for some late night drinks and snacks. The drinks were fantastic, the food was delicious, but what really stood out was our incredible server. Despite having a large group to attend to, he was extremely attentive throughout our meal.

We used to enjoy Praha for its nice atmosphere and decent service. However, since relocating to Plaza Tempo, we have been disappointed on both visits. The staff seemed inexperienced and unable to make basic cocktails correctly. When we tried to order a martini, we were told they didn't know how to make one, and a Moscow mule was served with tequila instead of vodka. Even when ordering different types of Gin & tonics, we received the same weak drink. As a former bartender, I understand that things can get hectic, but it appeared that the establishment was poorly managed. With the addition of a skilled restaurant/bar professional, Praha could potentially regain its former charm.

My wife and I recently had lunch at this restaurant. The Tuna was grilled perfectly and the vegetables were delicious. The Chateaubriand beef with steak fries was tender, moist, and very tasty. The desserts, frozen Lemon tort and Passion Fruit tort, were also quite delicious. The atmosphere was enhanced by the intriguing ceiling hangings of famous artwork, from Guernica to Starry Night. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience.

I came here for dinner after a movie. It took the waiter almost 10 minutes to notice us. We sat there signaled them a couple of times. After taking our order we waited 20 minutes for our drinks. After that we decided not order more and asked for our bill and after like 10 minutes waiting for our bill we paid and left.

Chose this place for lunch because of the special for 6500 colones. This included a nonalcoholic drink, salad of the day, starter, main course dessert. My husband had sea bass as a main course I had the chateaubriand. They both were excellent. The only disappointment was there was no dessert available that day. The location is very close to Cima so perfect for lunching before or after appointments. We are looking forward to returning.
