Sushi Shibucho - Costa Mesa

This is, without a doubt, the best sushi I have ever tasted in the entire world. The chef is incredibly friendly, humble, and talented. The fish is exceptionally fresh and melts in your mouth. The omakase-style sushi offers an incredibly delicious experience!

I'm hesitant to write this review, but I have to share my thoughts about my experience. "Incredible!" This is my second time visiting, and I can confidently say that this is some of the best sushi I've ever had. The restaurant has limited seating, so I had to make a reservation a few weeks in advance for a Saturday night, and it was definitely worth it. If you appreciate intimate dining, friendly service, and sushi that will leave you utterly impressed, then I highly recommend making a reservation. My concern in leaving this review is that it might gain too much popularity, and my hidden gem won’t stay hidden anymore. But the owner truly deserves all the recognition he can get, so that's a risk I’m willing to take.

This charming neighborhood omakase sushi restaurant is a true gem. The chef is incredibly welcoming, and the sushi selection is exceptional. As newcomers to the area, we decided to try some sushi and asked the chef to prepare a selection of his best offerings for the evening. We weren’t disappointed! Each bite was delicious, with the unagi being my personal favorite. If you’re in the mood for some outstanding sushi and have time to enjoy it, I highly recommend stopping by here.
