La Vida Cantina - Costa Mesa

The food was good, reasonably priced, and served in generous portions. The service could have been improved, but it tends to vary these days. Overall, it’s a great place, and I would definitely recommend it.

We recently had a large family dinner with 15 people, and the experience was mixed. The service was acceptable, but it took quite a while for our server to come take our orders. The drinks weren’t very impressive either. We ordered appetizers, which also took some time to arrive; however, the busboys were quick to bring chips and salsa. I tried the Chile Verde, and it was just average—nothing special. Given the total bill of $800, I expected much better food and drinks for that price. I likely won’t be returning anytime soon for a full meal. That said, the place would be a great option for grabbing a beer and some chips while watching football or any sports, especially since they have TVs all around the outdoor dining area. You can catch all the games, which is a nice perk!

Everything was fantastic! The food arrived a bit cold, but it was still delicious. The drinks and food were all on point!
