I go to order a patty melt and suppe. pay them the full price and get them half a sandwich and small suppe. when I specifically ordered a sandwich (2 half corresponds to 1 sandwich in the real world) as I watch all the complete sandwich pass. does not make sense. I asked for a refund, come here if you're paying for something that I've clearly not ordered. Note the owner....have their employees to customers on deals. I didn't order a deal because I paid the whole price for the half of the food. I will never come back here again and read this on my feed for thousands
I ordered a chicken club and a side of the butternut squash soup. Sandwich was pretty bare and clearly made quickly with no thought for presentation/quality whatsoever. Bread wasn’t honestly all that good it was somewhat soggy and too hard simultaneously. Soup tasted really good tho! Maybe this is the sorta place you don’t order delivery from and can only truly enjoy fresh but I’d personally just buy some sourdough bread and soup from the store next time considering the quality and price.
I remember having the best food experience in San Francisco at Boudin having their famous clam chowder in their sourdough bread bowl. I decided to get some at this store in Costa Mesa. I ordered togo the soup and bread bowls. As I was waiting I noticed their was clam chowder soup cans and had to get those too. If I would have noticed it I would have just bought the cans but it's ok I already ordered it. I took it home and ate it and it was delicious. Almost as good as it was in San Francisco. Too bad they only have Boudin shops in Orange County or else I would come more often.
If you love sourdough. This is the place to go. All three sandwiches are good but the soups in a bread bowl or the chili in a bread bowl are fantastic.
We've been here a few times. Usually the food is good. Today we waited 17 min for our food ok they said they are busy with to go orders. After waiting one sandwich the grilled cheese is burnt but server claims this is normal for this sandwich. The breakfast croissant is tasteless. It is flat and soggy I'm pretty sure it was microwaved. The egg has an odd taste I would guess its liquid egg from a carton. This is definitely not a sandwich I will order again. For most of my reviews I will eat at a location a few times to get a feel for what is acceptable for the establishment. I have to say that the reaction to questioning the sandwich is not acceptable. Another associate apologized and brought out a fresh grilled cheese. I did not complain about the breakfast sandwich only because it's obvious how they prepare them. Fake eggs and a microwave. The cheese on the menu shows a slice of cheese on a fluffy croissant with egg and ham. What I received was a soggy croissant liquefied cheese ham and rubbery tasteless egg.... will try the location in Huntington Beach.
