Umami Burger - Costa Mes

Came here after a friend introduced us to umami, and when we came to this location for dinner the staff was rude, telling us they were closed when we had come into their restaurant and didn't give us any information about when they would open. Just told us to leave. Sad about it since we don't visit SoCal often.

Delicious classic burger and sweet potato fries. Friendly service by Cindy too. We will be back!

This is a favorite place of my best friend (vegetarian) and her husband (carnivore) who live in the area. I was visiting and so they were excited about bringing me here.It 's located in a great area with nice shops and restaurants.The dining space is kinda small. Very modern and has a nice vibe.Service was excellent.The food was alright. We ordered a Manly burger, veggie burger and tuna tartar burger. I didn 't think the burgers weren 't that great. They were pretty standard and overpriced. The French fries were good along with the sauces made in house.I wouldn 't come back.

Used to be great! Nice, thick juicy burgers. Not anymore. Now, it's basically In-n-Out except not as good and more expensive. What happened? (And also, can somebody please message me with a place where I can get the kind of burger that Umami used to have?

Had a disappointing experience the night before. I came in this evening to express my concerns and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Ron. Ron was very understanding and very professional regarding the matter. I will continue to come here because of the way he handled the situation and his amazing customer service. Thanks again Ron!
